Caring Cooks

Every Tuesday, following Ladies Bible Class, many of our women put together delicious wholesome and healthy lunch plates from food they have prepared in their home. With the help of some of our men these meals are delivered to not only our elderly and homebound but anyone in the community who might be in need. This group also sees to it that families, who are going thorough the death of a loved one, are served a delicious meal either in our annex or delivered to their home.

Visitation Program

Led by Dale Kendrick, Deacon, assignments are provided to participating members to send cards, calls, or in home visits to individuals who are in need of support or encouragement. Typically on the first Sunday of each month, these assignments are given out.

Prayer Ministry

At every worship service, we dedicate a portion of time to send prayers of praise, thanksgiving, and supplications to our Lord.

Every Sunday at 5:30pm (half an hour before evening service), members of the congregation are invited to meet together in the little chapel off the foyer for a time dedicated to prayer.  This prayer is lead by multiple men from the congregation, which focus on the following primary areas:

1) Praise & Thanksgiving, 2) Sick & Bereaved, 3) Sin, and 4) Special & Providence

In addition to this time of prayer, we provide a detailed listing of individuals requesting prayers in our bulletin and Sunday order of worship.

Greeter’s

Members participating in the Greeter’s Program, lead by Wayne Taylor, Deacon, strive to provide a welcoming environment to visitors and help them find classes for each family member.

Christian Scholarships

Our students are blessed to have members who desire for them to have a Christian education. A committee sets the rules and guidelines for recipients of the scholarship. Every year, we have multiple students take advantage of this unique opportunity.

Helping Hands

This ministry is lead by Luther Moorman, Deacon, and is charged with helping coordinate rides to doctors, moving new members, and meeting any other need the church .

Counseling

Our congregation provides counseling services for individuals in our congregation may have need of. In addition, the congregation has hired an independent counselor so members can receive those services at no charge and with anonymity.
